A new season with Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton is starting!

Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton have confirmed their collaboration with Full Speed Ahead for the upcoming 2020 racing season!

This year the team will be known as Continental Atherton, or in full, Continental Atherton MTB Race Team, and will be equipped with the Gradient Modular Crankset BB392 Direct Mount 1X, improved thanks to the Atherton brothers and their experience on race field. With the specific 165mm crank lengths and  the DH spindle suitable for BSA 83 Bottom bracket, it represents the ideal choice for Downhill and Freeride. The fully-modular system, meaning that any rider or mechanic can easily, quickly and safely swap out the spider or chainring, and the thick-thin tooth design for maximum chain engagement, complete a very special and reinforced crankset.

Here the list of the other FSA products provided for the team:

-FSA K-Force Seapost SB0
-FSA K-Force 11speed chain
-FSA K-Force We rear cassette, with some special features for the team
-FSA MegaEvo BSA83mm
-FSA DH team edition headset

"The collaboration with Atherton Racing is a milestone: we have a partner who helps us develop products dedicated to DH and other MTB disciplines, a partner with legendary experience at the races and an innovative vision of the product. The best partner we could hope to find.” said Davide Riva, FSA Europe OEM Sales Manager.

THE TEAM
Beside Gee and Rachel, the Athertons will continue to support team-mates Charlie Hatton and Mille Johnset and are pleased to renew all of their 2019 component partnerships. After the terrible injury in Les Gets during a test in July 2019, Rachel Atherton in particual is ready to come back for the first race of 2020 Downhill World Cup in Lousã, Portugal. Her win in 2019 at Fort William represented the biggest FSA victory on a World Cup DH track since Sam Hill won on our Afterburner cranks and now we are looking forward to watching an epic comeback for the British DH legend!
