Dirty roads, take me home...

The most representative Italian cyclocross rider Gioele Bertolini has just completed his season “between the mud” with the Cervélo-FSA CX team. A short season actually, just one month of races, before diving in XC season with the big goal to take part of Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

Indeed for Gioele CX season represented his homecoming, where everything started and where he reached his best results over the last years, like many victories in Italian Championship in all categories. A homecoming, riding with a Cervélo Aspero bike equipped with K-Force WE Disc groupset.

«I found myself very well with the K-Force WE Disc groupset. It is very simple to use and you can see the battery level very quickly on the phone. Also you can use simple but very valuable modifications thanks to the App on your phone. During the race it is sensitive to touch, even in the most difficult races with mud, the gearbox guaranteed well by not presenting any snag given by the mud rather than the cold. The small and ergonomic lever offers a nice handle and also braking it is always modular.»

In 2019/2020 racing season Gioele reached several times the final podium, missing only the win.

«My CX season has been short but intense, just a month but with more races, most of them International but also a world cup race. I am quite satisfied with the results achieved even though I hoped to be able to reconfirm myself at the National Championship. However a second place is not such a bad result after all.»
