Cross Country National Titles

The weekend of National Cross Country Championships has been full of successes for FSA sponsored teams!

SANTA CRUZ-FSA

 
Greta Seiwald took a bronze at the Italian nationals championships. The riders of Santa Cruz Fsa come back from the XCO Nationals with a bronze medal and some bitterness. Her teammates Gioele Bertolini and Andrea Tiberi finished in 4th and 5th position in the élite race, while Zaccaria Toccoli closed 12th among the Un23.

KMC-EKOI-ORBEA

Annie Last kept her national title in Women Elite in Great Britain, Milan Vader takes the jersey in Nederlands for his first year in Elite category, and Victor Koretzky won the coveted French national title! Victor Koretzky French national title is the second one in our team, 19 years after Thomas Dietsch victory in 2000 at Pra-Loup. With Malene Degn who won the Danish National title in June, this makes 4 Elite national champions in the team KMC-EKOI-ORBEA. 

TORPADO-URSUS
 
For the third year in a row the N.1 World Ranking Gerhard Kershbaumer took the Italian Xco National title with his Torpado Matador equipped with FSA K-Force cockpit and seatpost, while the 21-years-old Martina Berta achieved the Italian national title in Under23 Women race. 

KROSS RACING TEAM

The Kross Racing Team riders took two National Championships jerseys. In Poland won Maja Włoszczowska, in Czech Republic – Ondrej Cink. Bronze medal in Spain took Sergio Mantecón.
For Włoszczowska, NC race in Mrągowo was the first start from the end of March and Absa Cape Epic. Kross Racing Team rider won with very big advantage over the second Aleksandra Podgórska. Third position took Paula Gorycka.
Cink, who during the World Cup races in Vallnord and Les Gets showed very impressive form, from the beginning of the race had the situation under control. Finally, he crossed the finish line 35 seconds before the Martin Stosek and over one minute before Jan Skarnitzl, who took 3rd position.
Sergio Mantecón finished the NC race in Spain 3rd. First position took David Valero, 2nd – Carlos Coloma.

TREK-SELLE SAN MARCO 
 
Gioele De Cosmo took the XCO Italian championshipunder23. In Chies d'Alpago the young Piedmontese won the national champion under23 jersey. A great results after a period in which he showed himself to be the best Italian in the WorldCup.
At the Italian Cross Country Championship lined up at the start of the Elite race also the Fantastic4 of the Marathon: Michele Casagrande, Damiano Ferraro, Samuele Porro and Fabian Rabensteiner.
They made a great race, they all proved to be complete bikers able to do well even in the Olympic discipline.
Rabensteiner started strong and in the first laps he was in top5, unfortunately two falls slowed him down and ended in 12th position. Porro had to replace a "hole" created by another biker at the start, but with the stubbornness that distinguishes him is back up to the 6th place. Great race also for Michele Casagrande who, playing with experience, set a high pace, but which allowed him to go regular until the finish, finishing in 9th place, the second athlete of the Trek Selle San Marco Team inside the Top10. Good also Damiano Ferraro that closes 17th.

CST-SANDD-BAFANG 
 
Anne Tauber is the new women Dutch National Champion, while David Nordeman achieved the second place in man race. At least Martin Blums became the new Latvian National Champion XCO.
