TOUR DE FRANCE STORY: THE LEGEND GOES AHEAD

As we progress through past memories of the Tour de France, we now arrive at the 2014 edition, which was a very special year for Vincenzo Nibali and FSA. 

Supported by his great teammates of Astana Pro Team, Vincenzo took the Stage 2 win and yellow jersey, attacking on Sheffield's hilly terrain with 2 km remaining. The Italian champion held the race lead until the end of the ninth stage and the yellow jersey returned to him the following stage, which he then held until the conclusion of the race. Nibali, who has ridden with FSA components nearly his entire career, has been directly involved in FSA parts development with his feedback and experience. He was able to win 4 stages that year, dominating in the Vosges, Alps and Pyrenees: the three mountain ranges in France. 
The SL-L carbon handlebar, K-Force SB25 seatpost and the bestseller OS-99 CSI stem was the official FSA set up that supported the Italian champion during his France triumphal campaign.

2014: THE "TOURMINATOR"
Another well-known name of recent years has also had the pleasure of riding FSA components. Peter Sagan, who rode for Cannondale Pro Cycling team in 2013 and 2014 racing seasons, always focused on the Green Jersey achievement that distinguishes the “Points overall”. Winning the Green Jersey requires an all-round set of skills and flexibility from the rider and from the components provided to him. We equipped Sagan with Vision Metron 55 SL wheels along with a K-Force Light cockpit. 

2018: THE TUBELESS REVOLUTION
During the 2018 edition, EF Pro Cycling were the first team ever to ride a stage with its complete roster using tubeless-ready wheels. This historic event took place during the TTT stage in Cholet.
360 days prior, the EF Pro Cycling Colombian leader Rigoberto Uran achieved a prestigious 2nd place riding on a Cannondale bike equipped with K-Force Light cockpit. Just 54” separated Rigo from the eventual TDF winner Chris Froome. It was a small gap that convinced EF Pro Cycling to choose Vision Metron wheels that they continued to use in the 2018 racing season. 

2019: THE KRUIJSWIJK'S EXPLOIT
Our journey inside the FSA story at Tour de France ends in the 2019, when Steven Kruijswijk of FSA sponsored team Jumbo-Visma, became the ninth Dutchman in history to finish on the overall podium in Paris securing 3rd place overall. Overall, it was a great 2019 Tour for Team Jumbo-Visma having been able to also win 4 stages: through Mike Teunissen on the opening stage, then the TTT the following day, also through lead sprinter Dylan Groenewegen, as well as the ever-improving Wout Van Aert.
